Entrepreneur Kaakpema Yelpaala started his health care career in Ghana and Tanzania, where he witnessed the challenges health care providers face in connecting with their patients firsthand.
At the Colorado Innovation Network Summit in Denver, Yelpaala tells The Takeaway about his new startup, ClinicCommunicator—a mobile platform that connects patients and doctors.
He says that the answers he's coming up with for people in Uganda and Kenya can work just as well for people in Utah and Kentucky.
